The following is a high-level Enterprise Architecture process: 

• Provide input to the business strategy process: what capabilities we have; what opportunities we have to add differentiating value; what capabilities we would need to build

• Understand what business capabilities are needed to implement the business strategy

• Design the business capabilities architecture

• Determine which capabilities need to be built or enhanced as an enterprise-scope initiative

• Architect and lead the development of enterprise-scope capabilities
